The printer is equipped with a heated glass build plate that can be easily changed for a magnetic flexible steel sheet that also comes with the Guider 3. Such flexibility allows for the optimal choice of the printing surface depending on the filament type, the model size, and other parameters. The Flashforge Guider 3 is equipped with automatic and auxiliary bed leveling that uses a highly sensitive inductive proximity sensor to ensure the precise Z-axis height adjustment for proper layer adhesion.

Compared to the previous Guider IIs, the double-gear extruder provides a 150% higher filament feeding force to prevent clogging issues. It is equipped with a quick-release nozzle that can be easily changed for a different diameter option if needed. Among other noteworthy features of the Guider 3, there are the filament detection sensor, auto shut-down when the printing job is over, sleep mode activation if not in use for a long time, and efficient air filtration with a built-in HEPA 13 filter. With all these functions, the Flashforge Guider 3 3D printer greatly contributes to efficient workflow and responds to the rapid delivery demand of customized market.

Print quality

The Guider 3 extruder features convenient nozzle replacement and is equipped with a stainless steel nozzle that can heat up to 320 °C. This allows printing with a variety of filaments, including high-temp and reinforced materials. The heated build plate and the enclosed print chamber reduce printing issues, like warping or delamination, especially when printing with ABS-type plastics.

With the minimum layer height of 50 microns, the Guider 3 is capable of making high-quality parts with smooth surface finish. Plus, the upgraded extruder structure increases the filament feeding force by 150% and causes less clogging issues.

The Flashforge Guider 3 offers dual build plate options: a glass platform with smooth and flat surface and a flexible steel plate platform. Thus, users can make personalized choices according to their needs when printing different filaments, which makes it suitable for diversified printing scenes. For example, the removable magnetic platform is easy to bend, which makes for easy removal of large models.

Materials

The printer is compatible with a wide range of thermoplastics, including ABS, PLA, PC, PA, HIPS, ASA, PETG, PLA-CF, PETG-CF, PETG-GF, PA-CF, PA-GF, and others. The machine is an open material system, which makes the choice of filaments literally unlimited.

Build volume

The build volume of the Flashforge Guider 3 is 300 x 250 x 340 mm, which is enough for small-batch manufacturing or building fairly large parts. The improved machine structure design realizes the expansion of the build volume while making the equipment occupying less space, thus offering flexible production space. All this makes it ideal for small batch production applications.

Printer controls and software

Due to the 4.3" LCD touchscreen with an intuitive and well-organized UI, the user has fast and convenient access to all printer settings and parameters. The device boasts Wi-Fi and Ethernet connectivity as well as cloud printing support and a USB slot to transfer printing tasks from the PC to the printer on a USB stick.

To develop the concept of industrial-grade continuous printing, the Flashforge Guider 3 features an effective management system. It ensures 24/7 stable and continuous printing during the production and development process, making the printer suitable for multi-scenario applications. Apart from this, the system allows the user to control multiple devices simultaneously, and automatically resume printing after a power outage. The built-in camera provides real-time monitoring of the printing process.

The machine comes with the proprietary Flashprint 5 slicer software featuring a powerful set of functions and user-friendly renewed interface. Other compatible slicers are Slic3r and Cura.
